Thursday Nite Live

Producers: Lisa Lamontagne, & Justin Fiksel

Fall 2011: Episode 1 (Directed by:James Benssh)

Musical Guest: Dont Upset the Bear

Thursday Nite Live was created by Joseph Lombino and began in 2001 as a late night talk show. Over the years it has developed into the sketch comedy show it is today. Countless Hofstra students from many different majors have pulled together to make at least 3 shows every semester.

The Producers

This year's show Producers are Seniors Justin Fiksel and Lisa Lamontagne. Justin, a Bachelor of Science Film & Television/Video student and teamed up with Lisa, a Bachelor of Arts Video/Television student, as Producers for the 2011-2012 year.

The Cast

While it is sad to see our senior cast members from this past year leave, it is exciting to see what's to come from our returning cast and the fresh new talent.

If you want to be a part of this year's cast come to auditions on Sept. 13th-Sept. 14th in Dempster Hall.

The Writers

Junior Matthew Grote is taking over the role of Head Writer

Any student can write a sketch. All you have to do is bring it to one of the meetings and other students can help you perfect it during one of the writer's meetings.

The Package Producers

This year's Co-Package Producers are Junior Nicole Saraniero and Sophomore Bryan Smaller. These two oversee the package meetings as well as organizing the package shoots and making sure there are enough to fill the show. Senior Edward Carlson will gradually be stepping down as a Package Producer this Fall, so he can focus on his Senior Film.

Any student can write and make a package. If you have an idea for a package but don't know how to go about making it or writing it, then come to a meeting and other students will be more than willing to help you turn your idea into a reality.

Production Manager

HEAT Program Director Matt Remis is also TNL's Production Manager. Matt is responsible for creating and assembling the sets for each show, as well as organizing the crew. During tech weeks he leads the set build and lighting, as well as the role supervising the crew during the show.

The Crew

The Live Studio Crew has positions for everybody. The high difficulty positions, such as control room, studio control, audio, cameras, lights, and stage managers can only be done by those Television students who have passed RTVF 44. However, those who haven't, or those who are in another major, can still be on set crew, set build, creating graphics, props master, PA coordinator, cast coordinator, and production assistants.
